Risk Management is a component of the portfolio, program and project management disciplines that has taken on the persona of a standalone discipline as organizational entities attempt to avoid or mitigate potential downstream threats and take advantage of potential downstream opportunities.

Working with each client, functionalIT tailors risk management plans/processes to suit the scope and complexity of the risk management effort and the capabilities of the organization. Plans or processes, however, are not sufficient alone to develop an organizational risk management capability.
